Jason R. McCoy

Managing Partner, Founder

As the founding partner of IRON Properties, Mr. McCoy is responsible for identifying and acquiring real estate projects for its partners. Upon graduation from the United States Military Academy, he served 5 years as an Army officer while at the same time starting and running a residential land development company. Upon leaving the Army, Mr. McCoy joined Crescent Resources, a joint venture between Duke Energy and Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund, to help build and manage the Raleigh, North Carolina operation. While with Crescent Resources he managed over $200 million in real estate assets and was awarded the 2008 National Homebuilders Green Development of the Year. He earned an executive MBA from Virginia Tech and is active in Urban Land Institute, The Home Builders Association and other real estate groups. Overall, Mr. McCoy has been an instrumental part in developing properties throughout the south-east. He takes pride in adding value to real estate by focusing on preserving the environment and enhancing the community. Mr. McCoy currently resides in Raleigh, NC with his wife Jennifer and their boys Davin, Dylan and Daxton. He is active in both his church and the community.

Recognized authority on public policy, governmental affairs and national security issues. Dynamic trial attorney, public speaker and businessman with JD and MBA. Proven effectiveness across a broad variety of legal and political issues. Background as general counsel and corporate litigator (class action/multi-district litigation in pharmaceutical cases, advertising litigation) and federal prosecutor (conspiracy, fraud, mail fraud and money laundering). Negotiation experience with foreign governments and the U.S. State Department. Extensive experience dealing with media including frequent television and radio appearances.
